New needles in the Pony range are black and NOT NICKEL PLATED. This comes as good news to allergy sufferers. These needles have a black non-reflective surface and a white eye, which is very soothing to the eye.
Straws are fine hand sewing needles, similar to sharps but longer. Their short round eye and sharp point make them excellent for basting, pleating and decorative stitching as these fine needles pass quickly through the fabric.
