What to Make with Children's Printed Fabric

A good print works across all sorts of makes, and kid's printed fabric is as versatile as it is fun. Novelty print fabric is ideal for children's clothing like dresses, shirts and pyjamas, and for costumes and dressing-up where a bold design does the talking. Will the prints fade in the wash?

No. Most of our children's prints are on polycotton, which locks in colour well, so they stay vivid through regular washing. We still recommend a cooler wash to keep any fabric looking its best, and washing before you sew so any shrinkage happens first.

Can I order a sample to check a print?

Yes. Order a 99p sample of any design to check the colour and the scale of the print before you buy a full length, which is especially handy for larger novelty prints.

Do you offer cheaper prices for bulk or trade orders?

We do. Many prints have lower per-metre prices when you buy more, and we have dedicated bulk buys and pound a metre ranges. For schools, nurseries or businesses buying in quantity, get in touch about trade pricing.

What fabric are the prints on?

Most are on polycotton, a durable, easy-care polyester and cotton blend, with a selection on 100% cotton. Each product page lists the exact composition, width and weight.

How is the fabric sold and delivered?

Everything is cut fresh from the roll and sold by the metre, with no minimum. Orders placed before 1.30pm are sent the same working day on next day UK delivery.
